Ode to Elmer's

The summer has come and gone. I am amazed at time and how it waits for no one or nothing. However, I just read when Joshua asked the Lord and the sun stood still. The day that never turned into night. How gracious God is to listen to us and then above all to grant us our requests. But the most tremendous part is nothing is too hard for God. He stopped the sun from setting and He washes away my sin and gives me a new life as His child with all His benefits.

His benefits are many and His blessings any less few

In May we celebrated my baby girl's 7th birthday. When she was a little baby, God told me she was "the glue." I remember thinking what pressure for a child but it is just who she is and how God uses her in our family. She causes me to desire to know more, to do things differently and to love without limits. She is not maniputable. She only desires the real thing. Things that last and never perish. I am grateful for the way God made her and for blessing our lives with her presence. Happy Birthday, Em!!
